Hardwell ft. Snoop Dogg 'How You Love Me' Music Video
On the road called ‘life,’ we are always on the move. Many memories are made while traveling down this road with the people we love, which I considered to be the perfect foundation for the concept of this music video.
17:00 on a Wednesday in November, I received an email asking if I would be interested in joining a pitch for the official music video for a Hardwell, Snoop Dogg & Conor Maynard song.
The music label said there were only two requirements: the treatment had to be delivered yesterday. And second, the video had to involve a particular car brand showing interest in sponsoring this music video.
I really liked the track from the start, liked the challenge, and above all, who can say no to Snoop Dogg… So I wrote this love story that unfolds from one single vantage point (the front hood of a car) and neatly packed it into a director’s treatment in less than 24 hours.
I dropped the treatment by Friday at 9 AM that same week, received the GO for the job the following Monday, and had the whole video clip signed, sealed, and delivered two weeks later.
Thanks to the legendary producers at New Amsterdam Film Company, who made sure I had a fantastic crew, the city counsels blocked roads, and we could move around - in a military formation - through the city of Den Haag & Rotterdam with the whole entourage.
Unfortunately, the car brand chose a different song for their sponsorship deal, so I kept it with a Peugeot 205 from 1997.
Enjoy the ride!
