About
I'm originally from the Netherlands, but Dubai has been home for the past five years.
My filmmaking journey started in 2002 with skateboard videos. In 2009, I started my first production company, and a few years later, I found myself travelling the world, filming tours and documentaries with artists like Hardwell, Nicky Romero, and Fedde le Grand.
After about a decade of eating deadlines for breakfast and spending more time in private jets than in my own bed, I shifted my focus to short films, music videos, and commercials.
Then COVID came along and put those plans on hold. I took a different path, turning my website into an online business that eventually attracted more than 400,000 organic visitors a month and generated six figures in annual revenue through digital products, advertising, and affiliate marketing.
That experience gave me a whole new perspective on how content works, both creatively and commercially.
But as much as I enjoyed that chapter, I realised how much I missed being out in the real world, collaborating with music artists, and capturing moments that make people feel something. That's always been the part of filmmaking I've enjoyed most, and it's where I've decided to focus my energy again.
I take on a limited number of projects each year so I can give each one the attention it deserves. If you have an idea you'd like to bring to life, I'd love to hear about it.
